Day 4  by  CinnamonAlchemy
I only had two hours to draw today, so it’s time for another study. This may seem oh so boring but it was oh so brutal. Decided to use my usual portrait speedpaint comfort zone and combine it with a subject totally way outside of my comfort zone: An ethnic old man with a curly beard, open mouth smile and …teeth. Yeah, when I got to his beard, I pretty much realized I was supposed to stick to an hour and a half and I hadn’t so I rushed and said fuck the shirt and turban I’m out.Wow. I struggled with this one in a lot of places. But for two hours, I’m pleased and feel like I learned a bit. Still need way more practice with things like this, though. Wrinkles. They FORCE hard lines. You can’t smudge wrinkles. Hence this was VERY good practice and one of the reasons I chose this, today.
